Principal and Founder, Energy Necklace Project

Susan Founded and developed the Energy Necklace Project at studio2sustain, where she was a Principal and Founder.  The Energy Necklace Project is now its own company under Susan’s direction, and will continue to provide its unique  process of using art to teach innovation, sustainability, leadership, team building and collaboration. The Energy Necklace Project also facilitates community engagement and outreach using public art, workshops, events and curriculum. Previously, Susan led Susan Israel Architects.

Susan has collaborated with sculptor Peter Lipsitt for exhibits at the New Bedford Art Museum and Provincetown Conservation Trust, and has managed and created public art installations for non-profits for the homeless and the environment.

Susan is a LEED Accredited Professional; Co-Chair of USGBC-MA’s RaSOC; Connective Leadership Institute certified trainer; and a member of the Harvard Alumni Association Board of Directors. She earned an A.B. from Harvard College, a Master of Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design, and attended the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston. Susan is a dyed-in-the wool Bostonian.
